There may birth control pills for dogs in theory or in certain limited situations but practically I dont think I would recommend them. Besides the birth control pills for dogs having diverse side effects like the following:
Liver Problems may develop
Increased urge to ride other dogs
Behavioral changes, usually elevated aggression
Vomiting, Loss of appetite, Weight loss and other generalized side effects
Birth control in dogs will also need a careful owner who remembers the time to give the dog the tablets (usually oral)
To avoid all these I have a recommendation here
If you are looking for a good way that is permanent birth control in dogs I would recommend a Spay. Spaying is a surgical procedure normally carried out by a vet to remove the ovaries. It is alternatively called hystero-oophorectomy its a very common procedure.
