I would like to hear your thought's regarding Bipolar?

I do struggle with Bipolar Disorder not because I've been diagnosed because I fought against it for years. Finally had to admit that I really did have this problem that I believe if you have the time to watch this video http://youtu.be/sl95tsiLvyM it would be helpful. The recognition and understanding of 'mental condition' have changed over the centuries. Just like any other medical condition and its treatments. This is a country that has changed regarding medical and mental conditions but just as everything else it is with growing knowledge, exploration and trial and one day hopefully a cure.

Well my doctor said that there are 4-7 stages of bi-polar disorder. I can't remember the levels as he kinda has me on medication causing me to act silly, then more randomly forget where I'm going so. I'm not the split second bi-polar, I'm more like the level 4 or 5 or something, I'm losing it here. Either way being bi-polar isn't a down fall. The fact that you live with it and can control it makes you stronger. People without this disorder have no idea how hard this is to control, even with medication. Think positive girl!

hello, my name is amanda and I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder for over 10yrs. I have been treated by 4 different psychiatrists along with psycotherapy. and meds of course. but the crazy thing is . now my mental health proffessionals are saying I am borderline along with a mood disorder. I really do understand your situation bc I have been living it my entire life. from my mother living in complete deniel to my sister rejecting me from love. I am 27yrs old and not crazy. I may have a mental illness but I am not going to hurt anyone ever. but my sister refuses to let me see my nieces and nephew bc she doesnt like different.
a therapist once told me that, because I am seeking out help and trying to get better says alot. She said it takes a very strong person to admit they have a problem. but the fact is maybe its not us with the problems, maybe its those who do the judging because they are too affraid of someone different from themselves
