    What is a good detox?

Having dietary issues as of late and looking to detox. I DO NOT want to lose any weight since that would be unhealthy for where I am at. I am simply looking to cleanse my body of any impurities. Then I will go through the process of eating different foods to see how they affect my body.

Does anyone know a good detox for this purpose?

Gluco manan fiber is probably the best. It binds toxins, and eliminates them thru feces. Others are chlorella, and apple pectin, for heavy metals such as mercury, and aluminum. A good detox bath is hydrogen peroxide in a warm bath, soak for 20 minutes. If your ailment is bacterial, viral, or fungus related. A very effective, and cheap detox method. For detoxification of the liver milk thistle. Has been shown to repair, and clear liver, of toxins. Very effective for hepititis, cirrohis, or fatty liver. So, it is dependant upon the site of detox.
By your question, looks like an elimination diet would be the best avenue to take. If you are looking for food allergies. http://artist101.hubpages.com/hub/IBS-I … Treatments

When detoxing, you will most likely lose some weight, but not true weight. You will get rid of excess stuff in your bowels and will most likely lose some weight on the scale.

I recently did a liver cleanse, but there are all kinds of different cleanses (depending on what you are aiming for). There are colon cleanses, kidney, liver, etc.

I've done a cleanse that is more gentle and it might be a good place to start if it's your first time doing a cleanse. It is a 7 day cleanse and it is recommended to stay away from dairy, wheat, and any other known food allergens while doing the cleanse. You should eat whole foods- meats, fruits, and veggies (baked, steamed, etc but not fried).

I also use a detox tea most days (has milk thistle in it). It is a good way to stay in good health.

I'd be glad to tell you more about it if you'd like. Feel free to message me.

Bentonite clay absorbs impurities and carries them out of the system. It's inexpensive but get food-grade if you go that route. And drink lots of water with bentonite to keep from becoming constipated.

Juice fasting is the best detox in my opinion.  I have been a juice faster for quite a while now and even wrote a book for beginners called "Juice With Me - A Beginner's Guide".  It can be purchased through Amazon at:

    Paperback:  http://www.amazon.com/Juice-With-Me-Beg … 1478138378
    Kindle:  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008HRXAIM

Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to help you.
