it's called a myth. there is no such thing but with religion we are led to believe it occurs. i find it hilarious that some people actually believe in it and i also find it a little bit creepy that some people can be conned so easily.
I'm not convinced that there's life BEFORE death, but if I had to offer an opinion about what comes afterward, I'd say we finally get to rest. At least we'll be able to avoid election cycles.
Some people believe that when they die their physical body will turn slowly to dust but their soul will leave at the moment they pass on to begin a new life in some sort of afterworld. Most religious people have some faith in this idea.
The transmigration of souls is I think an early Egyptian belief via a mythology of the gods but there were earlier attempts to 'please the gods' on the journey home by leaving trinkets and food and such like in the grave.
Personally I don't buy this notion and tend to think that once the physical body packs up that's it. Lights out. Fin. End of story. Back to cosmic dust and reinvention through natural processes. Beautiful!!

Are we born with original sin? I do not think so. Correct me if I am wrong. We have the Council of Nicea. We have Augustine and we have Paul. Some claim Adam and Eve sealed the sin deal for every wonderful beautiful baby...
