A great workout does wonders for a bad mood and to remove stress. You can take your frustration out on the weights.

There are a variety of things I may do, exercise, sing, play music, sometimes I can lie down and fall asleep and wake up feeling better.

Reading my favorite books. They are filled with comedy, romance, and a little violence. I call them my pocket friends. All I need to do is read a chapter and I'm already happier and addicted to the story.

I know it can be so hard to change your mood when we are feeling upset or mad or whatever, but really our moods are what we make them. We can change the way we feel by the way we think. If I am in a bad mood I try to do something that I enjoy doing. The more you sit and think about the bad things, the worse they will seem. Also a very important thing that I have learned and I try to apply this way of thinking when I feel upset. No matter how upset we are, no matter how mad we are, being in a bad mood is not going to change anything. It will in no way change what happened, it will in no way make things better. The only way it could change things is by making it worse. So I can spend that negative energy on doing something positive. In fact, it will take less energy to do something that you like than it would to be upset about something.

Music seems to put me in a good mood every time I feel down or upset. If I'm tired and cranky after a long day I find soaking in a bath helps too.
