Will you consider Lasik surgery for correcting eye problems?
I am planning to have one to correct astigmatism and myopia.
I must say that as laser eye surgery seems to have many benefits, I am very skeptical of the long term affects and am a bit on the overly cautious side. So, nope. I would definitely not consider it.
I wrote a hub on Lasik. I researched it in depth because I was thinking of having it done myself. After looking into it, I decided definitely not to have it done. There's a lot of detail in the hub if you are interested. It's called "Lasik Laser Eye Surgery - The Truth". If you'd rather research it yourself, look for scientific papers by the FDA or other organizations which are not in any way benefiting financially from the industry - i.e. look for scientific facts and ignore the sweeping platitudes of those selling it. If you ultimately decide to go through with it, you at least should know what the risks are.

Facts on Lasik surgery. How effective was it for you? How bad was your sight prior to surgery? What was your recovery like (length, pain level, etc.)? Would you recommend it to others?
