How do you feel about the "Monsanto Protection Act"?
This act will take away the authority of federal courts to stop the planting or sale of genetically modified (GMO) seed crops.
If I said Monsanto sucks, then I'd have to explain my answer, which would take longer than a quick response of I am not happy about the decision Congress made. It really is too involved to go into quickly. Suffice it to say, it will hurt America. Americans will wake up too late on the topic, like they have on so many other topics, and then there will be serious damage as a result of their apathy. Congress did this due to Monsanto shoving money in their pockets but if Americans had any clue and had spoken out, the Congress may not have decided as they did. Sometimes it feels like the USA is going to hell in a hand-basket. This is just one example of how.
I agree, Li Galo. Have you written about it? Could be a fresh hub topic. I am hoping to hear some proponent views on this. Maybe a forum is in order. Anyway, Thanks for participating.
It is disgusting. But it will not work. Fancy lawyers will have a way around it.
But more important is what the pocketbook vote will be. I think we are getting smarter and non-GMO producers are reducing prices I think I can go and get a reasonable cart of groceries and be reasonably sure they are no GMO. Yes it takes work and perhaps we are just too lazy.
Also, more and more seem to be growing their own and farmers markets are gaining popularity. I like to be lazy, but I like home grown tomatoes more. Thank you.
Rod you wrote this and made us think. That is not lazy. I will try harder if you will.
