Has anyone tried Chamomile for their child for sleep? Has it helped?
My child HATES falling asleep and is up alot during the night(sometimes every hour), I was curious if this remedy actually works.
I hadn't heard herbal tea was good for this, my son has trouble sleeping at times and it is very tough. I love chamomile tea myself and although it might help de-stress me just a little I have to admit it is has never made me feel like going for a nap. My son has hyperactivity issues and I have been told that a sleep hormone called melatonin is very good especially if just used occasionally to help induce natural sleep. I will try it I think.
Yes would be the short answer, it's a relaxant, you can also try clean cocoa powder (we only use Van Houten, which is 100% cocoa) with as small amount of sugar as your child will take, made with water not milk.
Cocoa is high in magnesium, which will help relax the body.
As an aside, cut out ALL soda drinks (coke etc) they are very bad for us.
There is a whole lot more on this I could write, but it may be better as a hub, or contact me direct via my email: aguasilver at gmail dot com and I will send it directly to you.
