What makes this society consider female attractiveness to be THE MOST IMPORTANT
component regarding a woman's OVERALL success and well being?
It's natural for the opposite sex to be fixated on the physical attributes of the other. Who doesn't want to be with someone they find "hot" or "sexy"? Attractive kids and adults have always gotten better breaks from society. Every time an attractive woman is killed the first thing you hear is; "She was so beautiful" as if she would have been fat or ugly she would have had it coming! :-)
However the biggest difference between men and women is (women) judge each other harshly about (their) looks and clothes. The following day after any "awards" show there is a "recap" of the (red carpet) and it's not to talk about what the (men) wore! LOL!
Aside from GQ there really aren't a lot of magazines/publications geared towards (men's fashion). Women are much more concerned with clothes, shoes, handbags, makeup, hair products, and jewelry. It's about the (women).
You go into any department store looking for the men's section and you almost need a GPS to find it!
The general belief is it's the "media" that is driving them to be fixated on such things. However the truth is the media is all about profit$ and rating$. If women didn't buy this stuff up, want to read about "who wore it best", or watch beauty pageants not many companies would continue to invest millions of dollars on such ventures.
Many people believe that that attractive people have move positive attributes than unattractive people. Most people rather look at an attractive woman than try to get to know the personality of an unattractive female.
