Have you tried Sublingual Immunotherapy to treat mold allergies?
I am curious to find out if there is any one out there who has been treated for mold allergies with immunotherapy (either shots or drops). I was wondering if you found it effective for treating symptoms (particularly GI symptoms). If you have not tried I still would appreciate comments/opinions regarding this method of treatment. Thanks HP community.
I am allergic to mold. Received allergy shots about 10 years ago. Then moved.
I've had several hospitalizations in the past two years due to asthma, but recently found out I had gallbladder disease and acid reflux. So, now I'm on Nexium.
I started allergy shots again in 2012 for about 6 months.
Two doctors said they thought the asthma was due to the acid reflux and started me on Nexium. I've had no asthma symptoms since.
I had been taking singulair, 2 inhalers, Flonase and zyrtec daily to treat my asthma. Now I'm free of asthma symptoms after taking nexium.
The allergy shots definitely helped. I had to stop taking them because I became quite ill last Dec. unrelated.
I have used both, injectable, and drops. Both worked. I took the shots in my younger years, as I had asthma. Avoidance is the best approach. At times it isn't possible. As an adult I have had a re-occurance with it. I used QBC, and the drops, as well as a sinus cleanse of grapefruit seed extract, very helpful. The drops are available here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00016WWRC/ref … SPQ7YCEXZN
I have written an article about colds and allergies, I hope it helps. http://artist101.hubpages.com/hub/Is-it … or-allergy

From what I know, there is no cure for asthma, but have you tried something that diminished them?

I'm into natural health and alternative medicine. I originally raised this question on another hub. But this time I am going to throw it out to all of you: Do any of you know of any effective natural and/or alternative cures for allergies?
