First and foremost, never ingest fresh peppermint leaves,or pure menthol, it may also interfere with iron absorption. Its uses are for nausea, and colic. Dissolve a candy, or purchase drops for use. An old remedy was to dissolve a candy in water for colic in babies. My thoughts? Mylicon drops are a better answer. Simethicone is the active ingredient, it will help to relieve, and dispel gas in the child. Also sold under the name Little Tummies. Usually in the children's section of any drug store.
