Ginger is an awesome supplement. Probably the most used, and effective way is to ease nausea. Add a pinch to a cup of weak tea, and a couple of saltines it will help with nausea, from the flu, or morning sickness. Among its other benefits include anti inflammatory, and anti biotic, as well as anti microbial properties. Purchase the root, and grate off a pinch of it as needed. Put the remainder in the freezer for later use. It is also available in crystallized form, as well as powdered forms. It can be kind of hot, so just a pinch will do. An old remedy used flat ginger ale for nausea, now you know why.
Ginger is a mild stimulant that temporarily and moderately elevates blood pressure (helpful if you are feeling a chill or if you suffer from low blood pressure). It also thins mucus membranes, which can help bring relief when you are suffering a cold or clogged sinuses. Taken internally, ginger helps keep the stomach, colon and intestines cleansed. Mixed with garlic, ginger can be used to clear worms from the digestion tract. The last thing I know it is good for is in relieving indigestion, hence the recommendation of ginger ale during episodes of nausea.
I know from experience that ginger is very effective for combating nausea. If you can't stand plain ginger because of how bitter it is, try some candied ginger...no nausea at all.
Although ginger can be very spicy to your tongue, it helps with our digestion process. It is safe and very effective herb. Add ginger to your tea to prevent cold. It is mostly known to be a good remedy against several types of illness.
