Should the USA take a lesson from Colorado and legalize then tax and control marijuana?

The discussion continues with cognizant arguments on both sides of the issue. Alcohol and Nicotine are both drugs but they are legal and taxed. Why or why not should Marijuana be treated any differently?

Where the &^%$ does this compulsion to tax and control everything come from? Just repeal the laws that criminalize nonviolent choices people make in their own lives. Why on Earth do you want to morph control into other channels once criminalization has become unsustainable? Why must the state control or tax marijuana at all?

I agree that the government has too much involvement in our lives as it is. I am not saying that I am for the concept. I just thought it would be a good way to see what others think about all the talk that has been surrounding the issue for years.
