Sometimes a day is stressful and I have energy, so I won't mind going out, getting a meal or a cup of fancy coffee, go window shopping or stop by Disney & watch a firework show, walk around get some fresh air.
If I am stressed and tired, I just like to curl up at home. Stay off the computer/phone. Scrapbook or paint, watch a good movie, have some comfort food.
I usually meditate in the mornings but sometimes it's nice at night too.
If hubby is willing to watch the kids, I lock myself in my studio and bead until my mind goes quiet. Maybe with music, but most likely with nothing but the sound of the baseboard heaters and the wind. If hubby has somewhere to go or is also feeling ragged, then I *might* try to bead in the house, but most likely I'll end up playing a puzzle game, doing research for an upcoming project, or something else that doesn't involve actually writing anything.
