How do you relax after a long challenging day?

Do you go out with friends and blow off steam; read, meditate or pray; immerse yourself in mindless activity like online games?

probably sitting in silent place and relaxing soothes the mind

that's what I like to do.  after a day of being on the phone or dealing with a lot of people I crave silence - and maybe a hot toddy. smile

    Depends on my energy level.

Sometimes a day is stressful and I have energy, so I won't mind going out, getting a meal or a cup of fancy coffee, go window shopping or stop by Disney & watch a firework show, walk around get some fresh air.

If I am stressed and tired, I just like to curl up at home. Stay off the computer/phone. Scrapbook or paint, watch a good movie, have some comfort food.

I usually meditate in the mornings but sometimes it's nice at night too.

I miss scrapbooking but I've been filling my "spare" time with knitting, hubbing, and baking.

I prefer to watch t.v or take a long bath because I thoroughly enjoy those.

Do you find that your TV program choices reflect your day or do you have dedicated shows that you just love to watch over and over?

A hot bubble bath works best for me, although listening to music with a glass of wine is good, too.

If hubby is willing to watch the kids, I lock myself in my studio and bead until my mind goes quiet. Maybe with music, but most likely with nothing but the sound of the baseboard heaters and the wind. If hubby has somewhere to go or is also feeling ragged, then I *might* try to bead in the house, but most likely I'll end up playing a puzzle game, doing research for an upcoming project, or something else that doesn't involve actually writing anything.

that sounds like me!  Not beading but knitting or FB games.  Yes - Quiet & locked up somewhere makes me happy and peaceful.  I'm thankful my kids are older and don't NEED me all the time.

Isn't it funny how moving more, like exercising, helps you feel better?
