I take this to mean fear. This is how many men and women of God see it. It is a very potent enemy but like all else, may also work in one's favour.

Mixed with insecurity and loneliness, it can most certainly be a joy stealer. Many fears are born out of insecurity and loneliness. Not surprising, as the necessary confidence comes from within through Grace. This calls for regular prayer and thoughts of the Divine.

Satan wants to steal our joy. We must continuely look to Lord Dread isn't eactly fear. Lets say You dread work. You have a fun weekend planned. As it comes to an end you begin to dread having to go back. This has just stolen the weekend joy.

Penny we are saying the same thing. One is afraid of work? Why? Trace the reason. There are insecurities, ego concerns, lack of confidence ... They all come from lack of inner strength which comes from not being receptive to Something Higher Or God.
