i think so. i think they should have some time off at least a couple week prior to the due date. no one wants a delivery at work. also time with the newborn in its first few weeks of live is pretty important. especially if breast feeding, which i also recommend. there is no substitute for it.
Yes. Here we have one year of maternity leave and I think it's perfect. I can't imagine having gone back to work at 4-6 weeks postpartum like many women do in the US.
I went back at 13wks as we only get 14wks paid (and was off a week b4 bubs was born) - and have large mortgage etc. our jobs are 'held' for a yr for us to return to but unpaid after 14wks. I couldn't afford not to go back. A yr would hv been awesome
Absolutely.......I think if you were capable of having children, this would not even be in question.
