I surfed for the first time today!!!
A roommate taught me surfing today. I had tried several years ago, borrowing a board from my landlord, but couldn't do it without guidance. He helped me catch several waves I could not have done otherwise. I almost stood up! I believe I'll do so next week, when we try again.
Amazingly enough, I wasn't even scared! I'm always afraid when snowboarding or skateboarding. but I kept thinking, this is only water, it won't hurt when I fall.
One snowboard instructor told me I should scare myself once a day. As adults, do you guys embrace new experiences and conquer fears? Please tell of it here!
