    What is your own PTSD?

Something random triggered my own PTSD today. It was something everyday, just not to me.

It occurs to me that many of us have our own, personal PTSD, no disrespect toward our service men and women intended. Something unthinkable happens, we survive, and carry on almost as if nothing happened.  Except we are not the same person. We are a damaged form of the person we once were.

What happened to you?  Please share.

I believe what you are saying makes sense. Everyone bottles things up, it's the brains way of coping with trauma. Rather than PTSD being a black and white statement, it runs on more of a spectrum of severity. As far as my own personal PTSD, I am sure I could come up with a few events. What's yours?
