Are you familiar with World Tai Chi & Qi Gong Day (WTCQGD)?
It's this Saturday, usually the 4th Saturday of April each year where tai chi enthusiasts all over the world practice simultaneously. The purpose is to spread love and harmony in the world. I'm excited about participating with my tai chi class around 9:30a (EST). Namaste!
This annual event started in 1999 and is celebrated in over 80 countries. It is held on the last Saturday in April to promote the related disciplines of T'ai chi ch'uan and Qigong.
It also acts as an information source on medical research and finding classes in those disciplines.
It's wonderful seeing the world come together to celebrate such a great event to promote healing, faith and love.
They have a Facebook page:
No I was not. I just began my tai chi (at home) a couple of months ago and may be too slow for this.
Believe me, Kevin, I used to feel the same way. You're not too slow, it takes time. You may benefit from a class if you can find one in your area.
I have no way of getting to it if there is. I do not drive or walk (medical); there is no public trans. on my street; I do not have money for taxis.
Then you'll do just fine at home. Keep at it with your own pace.
I cannot get on FB but I have the URL's.
I heard about it for the first time last year but there aren't any in Indianapolis.
The website is http://worldtaichiday.org/
Yes, I am. Normandale College has this every year around this time.
This is news to me. Never knew there was such a day. Thanks for the info.
