Do you think a fair understanding of one's pain is possible?
Absolutely yes. In spiritual transformation work - regression into one's self and layers of pain is a normal experience. When meditating - serious meditation, pain comes out of the body and this pain can be as a result of allowing the body to release what is trapped by the mind and body so we don't have to deal with them. When going into involuted spaces you tap into the suppressed emotions that manifest as physical pain.
Inner Space Techniques, devised by spiritual teacher Dr Samuel Sagan, is a series of therapies that deal with sourcing the self and the pain and the source of that pain, the core. It becomes imperative that core issues, or samskaras, are sourced, unravelled and decharged. Without doing so you are caught in a cycle of reactions that keep you out of the stillness and centerdness that is within you. Most people walk around in their world trapped by their issues without an awareness of why.
Self awareness requires unraveling the traumas that keep you blocked and unable to BE your true and powerful self. Emotions, 9 times out of 10 are beneath the sensations of pain. Once felt, and understood the pain dissipates. Through IST clarity is reached to understand those traumas in order to deal with experiences and events more maturely, ie without the reaction that initially created them.
With this technique there is a metaphysical dimension to the experiences of release, more thorough than dealing with the mind alone.
With reference to the pain of your beloved ones', it can be possible to understand and experience the pain upto a much deeper layer, if not 100%. Because your own soul is so deeply attached with the sufferer, you are prone to experience every degree of pain that is undergone by him/ her. So, you will also experience the same degree of pain by being with them and seeing all that torture underwent by them.

It is said that "All knowledge comes from experience". If that is true, can it be argued that we can only know those things that we experiece? If so, can it be argued that our experience limit what we can...
