Can a pharmacist deny my medication refills due to out of state ID even if its me on the ID?
I move to California 3 years ago and have recently moved back to Pennsylvania to take care of my sick mother until unfortunately she passes away. I currently have a California identification card with my own picture on it but when I went to refill my prescription the pharmacist told me that he would not be able to refill my next refill unless I have a Pennsylvania identification card. Is this allowed? Does it matter which state the card is from as long as it's clearly my picture on the identification card? What would the state have to do with anything?
