Cancer Treatments and Bill Henderson

Updated on October 10, 2011

I'd like to give Bill Henderson a giant "Thank You!" for his decision in 1994, after his wife passed away from cancer, to dedicate his life to research and organize a crusade to save others from a similar fate. This man will never be thanked enough and is deserving of so much praise.

If you or a loved one battles cancer, the absolute, best move you can make is to obtain and read Bill Henderson's book Cancer-Free: Your Guide to Gentle,Non-Toxic Healing (3rd Edition, 2008). Next, you need to listen to Bill speak to you about cancer on his weekly radio show. That schedule is available at his website: http://www.Beating-Cancer-Gently.com. Here you will also find interviews that Bill conducts with cancer experts and researchers on the leading edge. These informative programs are archived for more convenient listening. Bill's book can be purchased at his website, and that is the only item from which he receives a profit, despite mentioning scores of products and services in his book.

Readers' feedback (from previous editions) fills the opening pages of Cancer Free and is highly inspirational: individuals who have used the knowledge supplied by Bill to recover from cancer, doctors praising his efforts, and others expressing deep gratitude for his help. In the Preface, Bill states "I spend every day talking by e-mail and telephone with cancer patients. I am not a doctor. I am just a 'reporter.' However, with the information I have gathered, I have been able to help thousands of people all over the world become cancer-free."

Bill's book is comprised of seven chapters in all. They discuss the history of fighting cancer with conventional means, the nature of cancer, traditional cancer treatments, the cancer treatment Bill recommends, and finally a gamut of alternative treatments currently used to fight cancer. The remainder of the book consists of an appendix, that includes all the resources mentioned in the book along with websites, then three short booklets: "Stop Your Aging with Diet," 'Stop Your Aging with Exercise," and "Beating Diabetes."

The most important chapter in this book may be Chapter 5: "Cancer Self-Treatments That I Recommend." Bill first explains that any treatment should be carried out with the knowledge of and/or a discussion with your doctor. Then he proceeds to share the exact daily regimen he would follow--regardless of the type or stage of cancer. It begins with building up the immune system, a first priority! Here he shares the results of his in-depth research behind the use of Beta-1,Glucan from Transfer Point, North Carolina and cites studies from institutions like Harvard, Tulane,University of Louisville, Johns Hopkins among others. As with all products he recommends, Bill supplies relevant contact information and websites.

After taking Beta-1, Glucan, the next step in this regimen is following Dr. Johanna Budwig's flaxseed oil and cottage cheese diet, again supported by ample research and strong testimonials. Flaxseed oil supplies the Omega-3 fatty acids that so many are missing in the standard American diet and it forms a special chemical bond with cottage cheese especially. Dr. Budwig's formula has been used to prevent and treat not only cancer, but also arteriosclerosis, strokes, prostate, arthritis and immune deficiency syndromes.

After a thorough discussion of the Budwig diet, Dr. Matthias Rath's use of Vitamin C and Lysine and Proline with Green Tea Extract is discussed as it is used to slow down or stop the process of metastasis. This is followed by information about the effectiveness of green barley tablets--the stuff that healed Bob Davis' cancer and advocated by Dr. Yoshihide Hagiwara. Barley contains thousands of enzymes that help in the digestion of our foods and the alkalization of our bodies. The pH level of our blood is crucial to avoid acidic conditions; cancer thrives in an acidic environment. If you have read Dr. Robert O. Young's The pH Miracle: Balance Your Diet, Claim Your Health, you may have a better understanding of this concept.

The fifth step in Bill's regimen towards beating cancer is to avoid foods on the five "no-noes" list (sugar, processed food, animal protein, dairy, and gluten). Though this can be a challenging diet to follow, you will find it recommended by many cancer-fighting experts. The final step is to take two packets daily of Daily Advantage, a vitamin/mineral supplement created by Dr. David Williams and found on his website.

Now the preceding, remember, is just one chapter! The book goes on to present scores of other treatments, with references, such as Essiac Tea, Exercise with Oxygen Therapy (EWOT), Pau D'Arco Tea, Protocel and Graviola, Paw Paw, the Vibe Machine, Red Raspberry Capsules, Prostate Essentials Plus and so many more strategies. In addition, Bill shares information and addresses of treatment clinics in the U.S., Mexico and Europe which have had success, such as the Immune Recovery Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia; the New Hope Medical Center in Scottsdale,Arizona; the Duke Integrative Medicine Center on the Duke campus in Durham, North Carolina; and the Las Mariposas Clinic in Spain, among others.

Without question, this is the most important book on treating cancer that I have come across in the last three years. Its 317 pages will save time and money, and perhaps one's life. Since my father was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer, I was motivated to learn more about fighting cancers and have read incessantly. Currently he is following as much of Bill's protocol as his self-discipline will allow and has improved. If you are looking for strong testimonials, this book is loaded with them as is his website. Don't make the mistake of not checking out this book at your earliest convenience.
