Help Out the Easter Bunny!

Easter is fast approaching and many of us are looking for fun Easter gift ideas. If you need to fill a few Easter baskets, don't count on the Easter Bunny to bring everything to you this year. You can pick up plenty of low-priced Easter supplies at the dollar store. Most specifically, if you have a Dollar Tree in your area, it is full of party and Easter items.

If you've never thought you could get quality items at the Dollar Tree, you are wrong. It is time to pay a visit to your local dollar store. And yes, every item really is just $1. In some cases, you can get really cute Easter cards for an even better deal - 2 for a $1. They don't look any different from Hallmark cards. You just need to make sure to shop early for the best of the cards. If not, you may have to pay an entire $1 for one card, which of course, is still a bargain. Aside from saving money on greeting cards, you may be surprised to find a wide selection of Easter gifts inside many dollar stores.

Easter Baskets and Everything That Goes In Them

If you are the type that likes to make your own Easter basket, you are in luck. The Dollar Tree offers plenty of options. You can purchase a nice variety of baskets there. If you are shopping for someone a little older, there are also plenty of Easter or spring themed gift bags to choose from.

Once you've picked out your basket or gift bag, there are a wide variety of "grass" options. You can go for standard green, but you don't have to be boring with your grass and go for such a natural color. There are many colors, like pink, yellow, or blue. Also, you can look for plastic grass or paper grass. If you prefer to go with tissue paper, there is plenty of that on hand as well.

When buying items for your Easter basket or gift bag, you have plenty of one dollar items to pick from:

  • Small Easter stuffed animals
  • Small toys
  • Solar tulips / flowers
  • Butterfly wind chimes
  • Wide variety of plastic eggs
  • Small games
  • Easter pencil sets
  • Easter pen sets
  • Easter coloring books
  • Crayons
  • Easter egg coloring kits
  • Easter snow globes
  • Easter socks
  • Easter bunny ears
  • Candy... lots and lots of candy!

Did Someone Say Candy?

If you are looking for Easter candy, you will find plenty of it at the low, low price of just a dollar at the Dollar Tree. Mind you, you will not find a lot of brand names. For example, if you are looking for cheap Snickers eggs in bulk, you'd probably be better off at Walmart. However, if you are looking to fill an Easter basket with some cute generic candy, you can't go wrong at the dollar store.

There are plenty of Easter items to choose from, such as small chocolate bunnies, marshmallow candy, and bags of jelly beans. You can even find Hello Kitty Easter Eggs filled with candy at the Dollar Tree located near me. I am sure you can find other characters on eggs that will surely delight the children in your life.

Easter Decorations

You can't have a fun Easter without a few decorations. Even if you are not planning on having a party or family event for Easter, it is still a nice holiday to celebrate. Nothing will get you more in the Easter spirit than a few cute decorations.

Naturally, you don't want to spend too much money for Easter decorations that are only used for a short period of time. The Dollar Tree has some great options for decorating, such as:

  • Easter garland
  • Easter signs
  • Easter foam eggs for crafts
  • Fake grass for crafts
  • Small Easter figurines
  • Easter balloons
  • Easter tablecloth
  • Easter dish towels
  • Easter oven mitts
  • Bunny "footprints" for the floor
  • Easter chair covers

Spring Into Action

Even if you don't celebrate Easter, it is a wonderful time to enjoy spring. Winter is finally over and you can find plenty of items that will help you celebrate the wonder of spring.

You can find plenty of yard decorations at the Dollar Tree. Some of the spring items you can purchase are wind chimes, wind socks, and pinwheels shaped like flowers. One of the best bargains I've found at the Dollar Tree are the solar lights. Not only can you buy standard solar lights to line your driveway, they are currently carrying tulip solar lights. Nothing says spring more than these lights that are available in a variety of colors.

When you get a chance, you should hop on over to your local dollar store so you can enjoy some of their wonderful spring and Easter bargains. You are bound to find something amazing, or useful, or just plain fun. What a great way to feel like you are doing a lot of shopping, yet you are paying so little. Happy Easter!
