I am a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful children who keep me very busy. I love technology, gardening, cooking, and personal finance.

What Does Your Mom Like?

Picking out a great gift for your Mom and pampering her on Mother's Day is as simple as thinking about your Mom's hobbies and dreams.

Does she often talk about one day being able to do something special or does she enjoy a hobby?

Think about what your Mom enjoys and try to find a gift that she will appreciate instead of some lame, last minute gift that you bought and wrapped quickly just to have something to give.

Heart-felt gifts don't take much more time and you Mother will thank you for it!

Mother's Day presents can be a great be fun to buy or make.

Mother's Day presents could also be an experience, like a fun day out with your Mom taking time to do the things your Mom enjoys.

She will really appreciate a well thought out gift from the heart!

Does Your Mom Like To Cook?

If your Mom likes to bake and cook, she spends a lot of time in the kitchen.

Find a nice cookbook with recipes you think she will like.

You could also make her her own personalized cookbook by gathering all of her favorite recipes and making her a personalized cookbook on Lulu.com.

She will love the convenience of having all of her favorite recipes in one convenient book.

You could also buy her a new apron or oven mitts that complement her personality and kitchen style.

Find spices and flavorings that she could use that are hard to find. You could find these at specialty stores or on Amazon.com.

A lot of people are switching from buying things to buying experiences. You could buy your Mom cooking lessons at Sur la Table or a similar cooking store.

If you see that the utensils that your Mom use are worn out or that she has been eyeing a new spatula, buy her some nice ones that will last a while.

Get her the real nice ones if they are within your budget.

Is Your Mom Fashionable?

Plan a day of shopping and pampering for you and your Mom.

Set up an appointment for you both to get your hair and nails done and/or a massage.

If you know how to do hair and nails, do it yourself to save money.

Sit down at a coffee shop afterwards to grab a drink and talk and then go shopping at her favorite stores.

You both will feel so relaxed and have a great bonding experience by the end of the day.

Does Your Mom Like To Garden?

If your Mom has a green thumb, she spends a lot of time outside in the dirt.

Her hands most likely need a thick, moisturizing treatment to help relieve dry, cracked or callused hands.

They have moisturizers out specifically for people who garden.

Crabtree & Evelyn makes a wonderful Gardeners Hand Therapy cream which sells for $16.95.

You could also buy her heirloom seeds of her favorite type of flower or plant.

They could be found on Amazon or through seed catalogues like Gurney's or Burpee's.

Another great idea is a tool storage container like a gardening belt or bag that she can carry her tools in.

If she often carries a lot of small hand tools, seeds, plant ties and other things, you will want to get her a gardening bag since it holds more than a gardening belt would.

Does Your Mom Love Coffee?

For coffee lovers, buy a bag of gourmet coffee or a bottle of coffee flavorings.

She will love the flavor of the gourmet coffee. Some coffees are flavored already.

Buy a flavor that you think she will like.

You could also buy her a new coffee mug.

Shutterfly and Snapfish let you pick a picture to put on a mug.

You can pick any picture that you have uploaded to your snapfish or shutterfly account and have them put it on a coffee mug for you.

Look out for coupon codes for free shipping or percentages off items.

Snapfish and shutterfly usually have a few coupon codes for deals.

Does Your Mom Love Pictures?

Speaking of Snapfish and Shutterfly, if your Mom loves pictures, she will love most customized items through Snapfish and Shutterfly.

They are websites that you can upload your pictures to.

Once you have uploaded pictures to their site, you can make photo albums, Holiday cards, ornaments, calendars, posters and stationary with the pictures you have uploaded.

After you pick the product you would like to purchase and the picture you would like on it, Snapfish and Shutterfly put it all together and send it to you.

They both have reasonable prices and are very similar. My tip is to look at the coupons first and see who is offering better deals and go with them for that product.
