Ideas on What to Do On Father's Day with your Dad

Ideas on What to Do On Father's Day with your Dad. Usually on Father's Day we take this as a family affair although in our hearts, at times we know we need to make it special for our dads. Different people have different plans on Father's Day specially with the family, if you have one already. At times, there are reunions of some sort where the family gather and have dinner. The main thing is that the essence of Father's Day is to let our fathers know that we are thankful for them and that we appreciate them, and we show our love to them. In the US, since Father's Day is celebrated every summer June third Sunday to be exact, there are lots of activities in our minds a sit is summer and we may never run out of ideas.

In this hub, I am just thinking some of the loving ways to celebrate Father's Day with your dads. Some are not lucky though they live faraway form their father, and in this situation a card, a call and talking to them is a good way to let them know that you love them and they are remembered don the day, besides it will not take much of your time to dial the number and it is not expensive.

Ideas on What to Do On Father's Day with your Dad

  1. Go out and go to a lake with the families in tow, this is good if you are near a lake and you can have fun activities there, you might go fishing like the good old days. Sometimes you can also have fun bringing something to grill and Cook while you are there. of course this is fun together with grandchildren and other siblings which are near to your locations, usually, there is somebody who likes to coordinate things and she/ he will be in charged of this preparation -- stuff like who will bring this and that. I noticed that fathers are happy when their families are together on that day -- it is a family affair.
  2. If a family gathering or a meeting with the members of the family is not possible, then you can possibly go out alone with your father, eat out, have some fun like watching ball game together
  3. Bring and give your father a simple gift.A gift even if it is ordinary can make a difference if you put some note on it, usually men will be aloof in putting a note, let your wife or girlfriend do it, or c'mon, you can do it, scribble some thank yous and appreciation note take only little time.

Some of ideas for gifts on Father's Day:

  • CDs of his favorite songs
  • Any form of exercise gadget which he can use
  • Health books or his favorite author if he likes reading
  • Tools that he like and still needs
  • A new project which he likes i. e., gardening --
  • Sports tools like new golf equipment -- depends on his chosen sports
  • The thing is you know what he needs and like to do so putting a note to the gift is an add on -- a good add on

4. Just be with them for the day even if your family cant be there, (of course if you have a family they would also like to celebrate the Father's day with you, this is for men -- out there -- ( that is why the best scenario is to just to have a family affair together at once.

5. I know grandchildren bring a lot of fun to grandfathers or father, let them stay with them on that day, or if there are divorced couple out there, Father's Day is a special day so let your child be with their dad.

6. Barbecues and grills are fun specially if the father is near at your house or where you reside. There is nothing like the conversation that ensue while somebody is busy grilling.
