    Hi...thank you for the question! What I've done in the past is create a special event for the kids (my son and his cousins) as in a Christmas Eve skit or explaining the Christmas symbols and their meanings and sing Christmas songs or songs that have a "Christmassy" message to it (for instance, Happy Xmas/War is Over by John Lennon).  It worked out really well.  The children liked being a part of it and the adults loved it! I'm planning to do a different one this Christmas.  It will probably be more of singing Christmas songs with bible verses that are related to Christ's birth.  Hope this helps!:-)
