What is the holiday/celebration where Americans spend the most money
I would have to say Christmas. And personally I feel most have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas and replaced it with store bought stuff! If a gift is given it should be, in my opinion, made by the giver. Christmas has become commercialized!
I think the holiday/celebration Americans spend the most money is their wedding and their birthdays. In truth though I think it depends on the importance that a person puts on the event. Some families have traditions that tend to cost quite a lot to follow through or cause the family to travel from all over the world.
My reason for saying wedding or birthday is because they are usually one time events you cannot get back.
