Will you be celebrating Halloween this year or don't you believe it's an occasion to celebrate?
Collecting candy house-to-house and dressing as serial killers as some do never had appeal for me, but I like costume parties and would rather attend a large costume ball in January or February to liven up the winter season. But, my city has an outdoor costume party at the end of the October in the streets of our Short North area north of Downtown. I'm going to go have a look.
Halloween is great to celebrate with my children as it helps get their creative juices flowing by creating their own costumes. In Mexico we have Dia de los Muertos on November 2nd, which means Day of the Dead in English. While people think this is a scary holiday, it is actually quite a beautiful one. It is a day to gather with your friends and family and remember the loved ones who have passed on in your life. It´s kind of like we get two holidays in one week
