We normally drive up to Scotland to be with my parents, but they are flying down to spend it in our house this year. We have good food, plenty of fun and games. We make a big deal of Christmas Eve and bake cookies. We sit round the fire listen to Christmas music and drink mulled wine. We have a walk in the country on Boxing Day and watch the wild deer in the forest walking around. It is a fantastic time of the year. The only down side is that my daughter usually wakes us up around 5am to open her presents!!!
We go to church on Christmas Eve, then come home and open gifts. On Christmas day we go to my daughter's house for dinner and opening more gifts. We are all very close so it is a very nice gathering.
