    Has every holiday become commercialized?

All the well known and well celebrated holidays are commercialized, if you mean do businesses take advantage of them to promote their products and services.  Of course businesses do this.  If you had a business, wouldn't you promote it anyway you could?  Or would you remove all ads and promotions during the week of Christmas, or whatever holiday it happened to be?  Would you carefully abstain from mentioning all holidays in your advertising?  Not if you want to succeed and make a profit.

For some reason lots of people seem to think commercial enterprises are forcing them to do or say a particular thing, or think a particular way.  No one is forcing anything.  Businesses naturally want to promote their products and services whenever possible just like hub writers want to promote their hubs with back links and by whatever means they can.

How people react and respond to advertising is up to them.  If you choose to allow yourself to be pressured into doing everything the advertizing media encourages you to do, that's your choice.  Stop and think about what a particular holiday means to you, how you want to celebrate it, if at all, and then do that.  It's up to you to listen and adhere to what advertisers are saying -- or not.
