   Any quirky or different New Year's resolutions for 2012?
   
   I feel every year is the same: lose weight/get into shape/eat healthily. Plus a few other mundane resolutions. For 2012, I decided to shake things up a little, so I'm going to start learning Norwegian!

   Good question, We all old people are in new year. I mean what i was in 2011 , i am same in 2012. May be few things will change in this year.

   I have a plan for accomplishing the 1000-mile hiking year.  Though I've walked more that twice that distance in previous years, this is more of a commitment to fitness than to a destination.  Though it sounds huge - it is only about 20 miles per week.

   I don't know if mine are quirky or different, but I am:
   *Going to learn Spanish fluently
   *Going to hike a new state park at least once a month
   *Going to travel to at least four states.
   *Going to read a book a day with my daughter.
