    One of our Easter activities is that we hard boil some eggs, then design them - make faces or patterns. Then on Easter Sunday we take them  to a hill and roll them down until they smash. (We take the to the Kings Knot a field that has mound on it where the Kings used to host competitions.) The rolling of eggs here is a tradition (don't know if its international) symbolizing the stone being rolled away.
    Another option is that most supermarkets these days have lots of craft kits, finger puppets. Yellow moon website is good too (A fundraising website with loads of crafts)
