What would you do if someone you know keeps selling the gifts you give to their family?
A family member has sold off several items that I've bought for her kids. I guess they're either really hard up for cash or they don't really feel attached to "stuff". How would you handle the situation? What would you do about gift giving for the kids when you know the things you get them are going to be sold off?
I guess in this situation, I wouldn't do anything. Next time, when you think about giving a gift, give them a gift card to a store like Walmart so that they don't have to sell off the gifts you bought for them. At least they can use the gift card to buy things they need. Good luck.
I would agree with rlaha. May be they need the cash more than they need the gifts sometimes it is hard to tell. I would give them a gift card so they decide how to spend it on their own. Is it wrong to give people a cash gift?
