Why is " Veteran's Day " not celebrated as a legal holiday ?
There are other holidays such as : July 4th, President's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day..so why do we not honor our Veteran's ?
Actually, I believe it is. Banks and other Government offices are closed today, which makes it a legal holiday.
That was my thinking, too. It only happened today because 11/11 fell on Sunday.
Schools are open...and there doesn't seem to be much attention directed on this day of honoring soldiers present or past ....
