I sit in my room and play video games...yup I'm a nerd.
This might be considered weird by a lot of people-- My family and I don't have alcohol for the holidays. Not by itself, in the food, or even in the eggnog.
Now, to explain, my dad used to be an alcoholic so ever since he gave up alcohol we haven't had any in the house since. It's not that he couldn't control himself or that he wants to deprive any of us, but none of us want to tempt him. The holidays are about family and what's the point if we make one person feel uncomfortable or we're not taking him into consideration? So, none of us drink it then.
