Do you put gifts under the tree as you wrap them?

or do you sneak them under the tree on Christmas Eve??

When I was younger my parents did both. They would put a few gifts under the tree for each child just to let us know we weren't forgotten about. Then on Christmas Eve, while we were asleep, they would bring all of the rest of the gifts out.

At this point it is just my wife and myself in the house and we put everything under the tree as we get them. The only thing we wait on is stockings. Those go out in the morning.

I am an adult and live by myself, so yes, I do put presents under the tree as I wrap them.  If I had children, I would probably wait until Christmas Eve.  Since I live by myself, there is no reason for me to hold back.  Presents always look so pretty under the tree and add to the festive look of the tree.

I had some I held back, but generally I put them put out as I wrapped and the kids had a ball coming home from school and checking the tree to see what was new under there and who they were for.

So of course if I wrapped one for one child, I always wrapped one for the other one too.  Those were fun times.

Not me, but my Dad used to do it. We always knew what's in it but still that moment is special for all of us.

I tried to never examine a package too closely when I was young....didn't want to spoil the surprise! LOL

This is a great question, the answer depends on several situations.  I have a young child and three dogs, keeping presents under the tree before Christmas morning can be a constant battle of retrieving and or rewrapping.  A tree always looks better dressed with beautifully wrapped presents underneath, however if you have pets or small children you might want to display them Christmas Eve.  When I was a child my parents always hid our presents before wrapping them and placing them under the tree.  The problem with this tactic is that children are sneaky and will hunt for presents, speakig from experience.

I used to but with an 8 month old, very boisterous pup called Kassy, I wouldn't risk it! LOL! I don't even know if the Christmas Tree will last that long, as Kassy is so nosey she has to have a tug at everything and I'm sure that will include any decorations!

my 9 year old golden retriever LOVES presents and sticks his nose in everything so I have to make sure that I wrap them really, really good or he gets into them!
