What's your favourite Christmas treat, something you do or get just for yourself?

My guilty secret is making icebox Christmas cookies, having the dough in the freezer to make into cookies. But, I eat at least one whole roll of raw cookie dough.

Raw cookie dough is delicious and can be addictive! Most people think I'm crazy, but I love fruitcake, especially the more expensive ones. Maybe I like fruitcake because I never had it growing up. I have yet to meet someone else who actually likes it besides me.

We made several fruitcakes 2 years ago. Lots of rum and fruit. We froze them all and my Mom still pulls one out to snack on, all year round.

Fudge.  Our grocery store sells fudge during the holiday season and I used to like to buy a few pieces, just for me.  Not this year though...gotta stop sometime.

Fudge is good. So sweet though. My Aunt Alvina made the best fudge ever but was so stingy she never gave anyone else the recipe so it's gone with her now.

One of my favorite Xmas treats is the rich plum cake, besides chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Its sweet taste and gooey texture tantalize my taste-buds! In my home-city, the bakery-shops sell plenty of plum-cakes during the Xmas season and at times, I buy it and enjoy it with my family.

I always make Christmas cookies. But I really like cheesecake. I have a good recipe which I use and adapt for any occasion. But, I don't have a Christmas themed cheesecake yet. A plum cake idea might work well. I will be looking at recipes now.

A day at the spa is my very favorite thing to get for myself and it is also what most of my family members are giving me as a present for all occasions - easy for them, pleasant for me, everybody wins....

I've never been to a spa. I don't think I'd like it. I feel weird about people touching me that much. I love having the house to myself and taking my time in a hot shower with all my favourite smelling soap and shampoos.

Leche flan... oh boy! This creamy, custard-based dessert is sooooooo heavenly! I love how that custard melts in my mouth with the caramel topping oozing all over it! Hey, I was born in NJ to Filipino parents, so I know this all too well!

I do love real caramel. That's a recipe to look for. Thanks for posting it. Warm custard is wonderful.

I love eggnog, it is my guilty pleasure. I buy it and usually add a dash of nutmeg. If I had an endless supply, I would be one of the happiest people on earth. I get excited for the Christmas season every year just for the fact that the stores start selling it...one of these years I'm gonna try and make it myself.

I forgot. Next to fruitcake, eggnog is my favorite treat. I also add nutmeg to it.

We used to make our own eggnog. That was very yummy. Spoiled me forever for the stuff they sell in stores.
