Yes, the winter season definately has its charm, but I like Autumn, Spring, Winter and then Summer...in that order.

Perhaps I should mention that I do not tolerate the heat of summer very well, hence it is my least favorite time of the year.

Here in Sydney Australia where I live I much prefer winter to summer, though my favourite seasons are sping and autumn.   Reason, in summer here it is hot, and humid.  Generally the temperature is up around 85 to 90 degrees and sometimes over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.   I've seen it as high as 114 degrees.

Winter, on the hand is mild here.  It doesn't snow here.  Lowest temperatures would probably be around 40 degrees ranging to a comfortable 70.  In some areas of the city surrounds it gets down to freezing (32 F) but only for an hour or so in the early morning.   There is far less humidity.   The skies are often blue all day.  Winter great in Sydney.

I'm biased, of course, but I think we have one of the best climates in the whole world here.

I love it for about a month, then that is enough. It is great for hot soups and all the comfort foods. It is wonderful for snuggling under a pile of blankets and getting toasty warm to sleep. I love the snow, though I see little other than flurries. I love outside though and photography and cold weather doesn't give me much more than a grey slate, so as soon as the new year is gone, I will be ready for spring!
