What is your favorite memory of your mother?

With Mother's Day just around the corner, I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate it than with some most cherished  "MOM" moments. Mine was when my mom took me on my very first bus trip, we went in every store and got to meet some pretty cool people. There are so many others but this is one that stuck in my mind very vividly.

That one moment when she stepped out of her comfortzone, pushed up the volume of the car radio and opened the windows, to have people watch us with amusement, while we were dancing to the rhythm!

I never saw her doing that ever again and I cherish that moment for it was the first time I ever saw her 'for real'.

My mother and I never really got along, but she sang like an angel. She was always in the church choir and almost always got picked for solos. She had that clear soprano that many people aren't gifted with. She was also beautiful and, well, kind of prissy and always proper.

One day, in her kitchen in Virginia, the Guns N Roses song Paradise City came on the radio. She belted that thing like a pro - even the shouty parts. I was shocked and so proud all at the same time. My mother totally could have been a rock star. smile

I love my mother the most and each and every moment I spent along with her still remains fresh within me. But I would like to share the favourite memory of my mother as you have asked in the question.
The favourite memory of my mother is the one that reveals her true love for me. Many years ago when I was very small I used to go for walks along with my mother early in the morning. But one day as we were walking a street dog came running towards us. I started crying loudly. The dog dashed towrds us. My mother didn't miss even a single second and quickly took hold of me in her arms. The dog who was very angry bit on my mother's leg. The mark of that bite still lie clerly on her legs. Each time I see the mark on her leg, the more I understand her love towards me.
