Are you planning on carving a pumpkin this Halloween?
What do you think of a Jack-O-Lantern with braces?
Yep, I usually buy a pumpkin the weekend before Halloween and we make a jack o'lantern out of it. I'm not quite skilled enough to do something as tricky as the one in the pic but we usually do a decent job.
That's definitely one I haven't seen, very original! We have been getting pumpkins for a couple years now for the little ones. We'll be visiting the pumpkin patch soon to let them pick some out and we carve faces into them, nothing too detailed but I was thinking about picking up a kit this year to try out different patterns.
At least one, probably more, the kids will carve one as well . . .
Cute picture to go with this hub.
Yes, I plan to carve a pumpkin for Halloween this year...and roast the seeds. Lots of people I know have recipes for baking pumpkins seeds with a variety of flavors. :0)

In our household, we adopted the pumpkin painting because we have little ones that have no business being around a knife. So I got the idea to let them paint their pumpkins, and mommy and daddy would carve. What would you choose? And yes, you can answer both if you like them both : )

Jack O' Lanterns; to carve or not to carveIt's Halloween time again. Do you carve elaborate jack o' lanterns or do you dispense with the knife and paint? Feel free to share your photos.

How Do I Carve A Pumpkin For Halloween?
by Christin Sander 11 years ago
There were many very small pumpkins at the market today and they were asking $5.00 for them. It seems to me most years, we get the larger ones for around that price. We usually do half a dozen or so of the larger ones and then roast the seeds etc. I will probably be doing less this...

If you get pumpkins for Halloween, do you buy them at a store or go to a pumpkin patch? And do you carve them?
