What is your favorite way to celebrate a birthday...

Whether it's your birthday or some one else's...

I think we should never allow a birthday to pass without having cake or pie with candles to make a wish.

I recently celebrated my birthday and enjoyed a delightful 'upscale' dinner to go with my first chocolate martini.  Never felt better in my life! (I'm not a drinker.)

Next year I'd like to repeat the martini, and add a pedicure and full body massage. smile

Chocolate Martini sounds divine. I'm not a drinker either, but I'd try that!

I'm in favor of celebrations!!   Birthdays are very special days.....no denying this.  I believe in making a big deal over the birthdays of my friends and family...especially kids and grandchildren!
I also make sure I do something unique for myself!   I threw my own 60th. BD party a few years ago.  Wrote up a clever invitation, planned the entire afternoon with food, fun and games and even made up Adult "goodie bags," for my guests.
I really wasn't sure how everyone was going to react to the craziness of throwing my own party, but they all thought it was the coolest idea ever!.....I got some "funny" gifts.....mostly the kind that my dear friends knew damned well would make an old lady BLUSH!
We had an absolute ball!.......If I make it to 70.....I'm doing it again..only bigger and better!!!  LOL

Way to go Effer! Planning and hosting your own birthday party is a fabulous idea, you are guaranteed to not be disappointed! I hosted my own 50th bday party and I just might do that again for my 51st. Maybe. Not sure yet.

Although as I get older I frown on birthdays I still like to celebrate. My favorite way would be to go out to dinner with my husband and family. If I feel like then it would be to go to Atlantic City.
