Do you celebrate your pets birthday? if you do, how?

our pet dog Henry has just had his 10th birthday and as we didn't  expect him to still be with us,we celebrated his birthday! Other family and friends thought we were crazy and it got me thinking and wondering if we were the only ones do do this kind of thing!

No, I did not celebrate it ( now I do not have a pet ) , but I know some people that do it, and I do not think that they are crazy! I must also say that I do not celebrate any birthday, including my. So I am a special case!

Yes, our family does celebrate our pets' birthdays!  We see our pets (dogs, cats, gerbils) as part of our family, and so we celebrate their lives with us.

For our dogs, we usually have a dog-friendly cake (no chocolate), and some gifts.  They love to open presents!  We do something similar for our cats--only making the snack and presents cat-friendly.

For our gerbils--I make a "cake" from snacks they like such as sunflower, pumpkin, and other seeds.  I make sure to only give them very small servings and maybe some new toy for them to play with.

Celebrating our pets birthdays is a lot of fun for them and for us!  And a great way to show our love for them since they are part of our family.

Yes, I give him special toys and treats. I took a picture of him with a birthday hat but he didn't seem very amused.

I celebrated my first pets birthday.
But he died on his birthday in 2008.
The cat I have now was adopted and we have no date on her.

She's so bad.... She doesn't deserve a present.
    But we love her.
