What was your favorite New Year's Eve celebration ever?
Which New Year's Eve stands out as your favorite memory? Was it a party, or a quiet time with someone special?
watching the fire works in the sky, usually around my neighborhood, very colorful and exciting
The best one happened in 2001 when I managed to make a trip to the Carparthian mountains. Super fresh air. great skiiing slopes, hospitable people, breath-taking huge mountains and a night of celebration spent at one of the best local restaurant.
My favorite was a tradition. Friends had a huge fireplace and every New Year's Eve, a bunch of us would congregate for a party which culminated in our drinking some fine cognac from glass brandy snifters. We each took turns telling the group our NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS. and then smashing (with much aplomb) the brandy snifter into the blazing fireplace. I'll never forget that tradition!
