Everything! Well maybe not excessive heat, but I love the long days, the lush green colors of the trees, the hiking, camping, gardening, outdoor cookouts, lounging in the pool etc.  It's all awesome! smile

Summer has a glory all its own, and a mystery that is unique to its being.  Though we have a "date" that is called "summer begins now," it has a different sort of beginning every year, as well as a different kind of ending to introduce fall to us.  Everything I love about summer are the same things I love about all the other seasons!

Season upon season, we look forward to summertime and the vision we hold of it is always met with some surprises.  Will we have a warmer or cooler than usual summer?  Will we be able to do all we want to do in this wonderful season?  Will the unexpected be large or small in the grand scheme of things?

Already, the glory of summer has me looking forward to the glory of fall, and in view is the glory of next winter and spring. No matter what the years hold for us individually or regionally, no matter what the naysayers nay, the seasons will unfold just as they always have until the earth has reached the fulness of its time, just as was planned by their Creator.

What an amazing world we live in!  The seasons progress, yet they were designed with manifold purpose, and though there is a grand view that God wants us to consider, I thank you for the opportunity at this moment to reflect on summer, its creation, and the power behind it so that at this time in this summer I am better able to appreciate and delight in the splendor of its gifts to us!

During the hot summer.....I love, air-conditioning, iced tea, shade trees, cool evening breezes, light, airy clothing, pools and lakes of water, summer rain, fresh flowers and vegetables.  Sunglasses, large-brimmed hats, cook-outs, strolls in the park  and afternoon naps..........PERFECT!

What do I love most about summer?  That's easy.  Sunshine.  The warm sun brings out the best of me.  Vitamin D is a morale booster, and I can wear the clothes I love.  In the wintertime, I have to wear tights under my jeans, two or three top layers and a heavy, stifling coat to keep warm.  Summer is a breeze... just the bare basics and off I go!  Who can't love summer?  It is by far my favorite time of year!

I love summer and will always do! There are numerous reasons to love summer and i can't describe it enough in words. Summer is the perfect season where fun sprouts from every corner: beach escapades, road trips , camping, travel and cruise. I actually love travel and during summer, i can totally rock my habit due to the perfect weather.

    Hi Mary,

My favorite part of summer are the fruits that come into season and the sun. All types of Melons, wild fruits, and sun really give the body a chance to detox and and sweat out all the toxins.

    Best Regards

Oh it is such a wonderful season!
Do I love the long days or the cool morns?
Do I cherish the warm waters or the cool eves?
Do I reap the slow-down of my career's time?
Do I benefit from time spent wisely with our brats?
Do I garnish bountiful Vitamin E directly from our shining star?
Do I feel the warm rain and not practice avoidance of it?
Do I simply eat the many fruits and vegetables of summer?
Or do I make it an adventure and harvest the fruits and vegetables
before I partake in their consumption?
Do I not benefit from the natural writing-flow that manifests from the embrace of slow-down summer-time?
Do I not love the time with my better-half at an unplugged cabin retreat?
Is not the greater; the whole of the experiences relative to the individual elements of summer?
    Do I not know?

The bright, long days and short nights.  I love the warmth of summer.  The throngs of people who are out, enjoying this luxurious season.  The barbeque especially barbequed chicken wings either w/coleslaw or potato salad.  Enjoying the outdoor festivals in full force.

Summer also signifies leisure and lots of it.  One does not have to be in rush, just luxuriate and enjoy.   Can wear white and ivory with total impunity.   Can also wear short dress with such impunity.   Can hung out later into the night because the nights are not yet dark.  Overall, summer is the season for fun, relaxation, & getting into the groove.
