Yes, my plan for Valentines day is lie to my girl friend saying I need to go away for work, so i can avoid it.
I always write a poem for my Dearest Best Friend. She is in Sweden and I am in California. A unique and wonderful relationship based on friendship and communication. This tradition is four years old this year.
When my wife and I were still dating we'd make an evening of it -- go out to dinner, see a movie, etc., etc.
Now that we've been married for seventeen years it goes more like this:
Me: "Happy Valentine's Day, hon."
Wife: "Yup, back atcha."
"Zzzzzzzzzzz" (Both fall asleep.)
