Halloween Skeleton Costumes, Decorations and Accessories

There is probably nothing more traditional or connected to Halloween than the skeleton. People just must have this fellow hanging around the house, worn as a costume, or part of the outdoor Halloween decorations.

Either way, there is never a loss of true representation of the skeleton on Halloween, and there are seemingly endless ways to enjoy and present the skeleton to friends and family at your Halloween party or celebration.

Along with skeleton costumes, there are also a lot of fun Halloween skeleton accessories and t-shirts everyone seems to get into, along with indoor decorations as well.

And there's no shortage of creativity and places to find these cool items if you click around on the Internet. 

I found that when looking around for skeleton costumes online, that they were pretty similar in look, with a few exceptions, but even then they wasn't that much to differentiate them.

So the key there is to find Halloween skeleton accessories that will help you stand out from the many people that will inevitably show up in a skeleton costume.

First we'll look at some of the skeleton Halloween costumes out there. 

This is the most popular and easy to find skeleton Halloween costume there is, and it's great for kids or adults. If you're just going tricking treating or hanging out with the family this will work for anyone.

But if you want to not show up at a party looking like several other people, you may want to think of a different costume to wear, unless there are unique Halloween skeleton accessories you add to differentiate yourself from others.

This Gothic Halloween skeleton costume is a nice change, and is unique and fun, especially with that little skirt, or whatever you may call it.

I like how the white of the skeleton and black of the costume are complemented by the pink skirt and fringes. Nice touch!

This is what I meant when you can wear a standard skeleton costume and add a couple of props and suddenly you're a completely different set of bones.

The hat and cane show how just a couple of accessories can really change how a costume looks and feels.

Oh yeah, that hair is great.

While I can't be sure, this seems like a Grim Reaper skeleton costume with a different tool to reap. I guess if it's your time to go it wouldn't matter either way.

I like the skeleton bones in the chest, but that hood adds character, and my favorite of the entire ensemble is the skull on the axe head. Very cool!

As far as scary and unique goes, this is by far the best skeleton costume and mask of them all. Everything about it was done in great detail, and you can look at it for a while and keep on discovering something new. I really like this skeleton costume. It would be the one I would pick if skeletons were the theme I chose to wear.

If you can only find a regular skeleton costume, here's a great last resort that will bring you over the top: a pet skeleton Halloween costume. Show up with a skeleton costume with your four-legged friend and nobody will notice you; I guarantee it.

And if you're staying at home for Halloween, your visitors will love your pet in their skeleton costume.

Probably all of us have seen this guy at one time or another, although probably not solely in connection with Halloween, but more than likely a science class.

But even so, there's always something about a Halloween skeleton prop that adds to the atmosphere, which without it just isn't there. This Halloween decoration never goes out of style.

Just like a skeleton costume, get a little creative and accessorize your skeleton props and you'll be able to create about any character and theme you want. It's as diverse as your imagination can come up with, and this one is a lot of fun. It's definitely somewhat of a country skeleton look.

Although this is a plain skeleton, just having him in the sitting position near the entry of your home surrounded by pumpkins is a real hoot. Nothing like your skeleton butler greeting the guests. Not wouldn't he have looked good in a tuxedo?

I'm at a loss of words for this one. And I'm not sure what that skeleton head in the lap is all about. But it is different, and it would be an easy type of skeleton decoration to put together. It does offer up some interesting ideas and possibilities you could do. The robe especially looks great.

This would just be cool to have in a room you could take your unsuspecting family members and guests and scare the daylights out of them. You could pretend to be showing them a specific room and let them go in first. Lots of fun.

Skeleton puppets are another popular Halloween item that never seems to go out of favor, and you can play with them yourself or dangle them in a place were a breeze of fan keeps them hopping around to the delight of your guests.

I thought his t-shirt with the orange ball being shot by the skeleton was great. Just a different look that would be enjoyable to wear.

What a nice indoor decoration for guests to enjoy. Now the only thing I would change would be to have orange candles, otherwise they're very nice.

Isn't this great? I really like this guy, who stands about two feet tall, and would be a great Halloween prop to greet all your guests with.

Now you have a great skeleton pin to greet your guests with, and you're sure to be the only one wearing it. It's fun and whimsical, and very cool. Just fits the overall skeleton theme someone would be having.

I almost got carried away there and put up tons of cool skeleton related costumes and decoration, but you get the idea. There are a lot of creative ideas out there that can inspire you to have a skeleton Halloween theme and go beyond the traditional way of presenting it.
