Come Sit By Me A While: Those Rainbows So High.

Updated on November 24, 2012

Well here we are again sat out on a wet and cold winter's day;but who cares ;I try to come out here and spend time by Val and Erin's garden.

I love researching Native Americans ;my favourite being 'The Cherokees'

.I have no family ties with them at all(at least not as far as I know)but from that very first day of researching I knew I could relate to their faith and belief.

Today the sky is a very dark grey!!However if we look close enough we can see brightness and happiness through each dark obstacle.

I work two shifts daily caring for a young girl to and from school and yesterday morning we saw this beautiful rainbow;perfect with no break anywhere.

There was something very special about this rainbow and its beauty stayed with me all day; which is why I have to publish this hub today.

Looking after this young girl is also very special and putting the two together; special ingredients for a beautiful day no matter what the weather is doing.I also enjoy reading on the 'White Wolf' what a gorgeous animal.

I spent most of my childhood exploring the Welsh countryside with my dog and would much rather do this than meet a crowd at the local newly opened Milk Bar.

Even back then I found solace in the bosom of Mother Nature and still do to this day.

I am dedicating this hub to brilliant fellow writer and a great friend;

http://bravewarrior.hubpages.com/

We share so many beliefs and faith also.

I hope you enjoy...............................

Those rainbow so high!!!

Rainbows so high

each one bright

a land full of enchantment

each bright hue teasing

enchanting................

To our land of sweet song

a land of precious dreams

yet to be tasted

but tomorrow

will be ours to live by..............

I have put my faith

into a land of of promises.

Sincerity flows through

each bright rainbow hue........

Crying out in silent strength

prove your worth

your sincerity

your compassion for life

and all will be yours................

Rainbows so high

brightening the sky

to a land of laughter

sprinkled

with charms

so tender...............!!!

My Faith.

I have put my faith in

and

full of promises;

sincerity blows through

each trickling brook

running in slender silvery threads

Compared to shallow minds

evolving into

cold ,dry and

vacant hearts

Before flowing into the vast blue oceans.

So vast so blue

so calm

Calm waters

signal maturity

having just ridden

the tempestuous rivers

of adolescence.

Allow the calmness to wash away

the bleakness of yesterday;

your once betrayed

heart

so fearful

so obsession to a heartache long ago overcome!!

The chains of yesteryear still leave an indentation!!

for an almost stabbing heartache.

A Rainbow's Magic.

A rainbow's magic sprinkles down

on each one who is living their dream.

A magic as warm as paradise and as inspiring

as all life's gems..........................

As we travel through life's story

with heads held high

reliving

those days

of many moons ago.

The thunder a warning

the lightening menacing flash

to show the foolishness in man!!

Walk through

this anger with hope and faith

kept safe so deep i the chambers of your heart.

Wondrously we dislodge

each enemy

with a mighty sweep

of our razor sharp beings of today!!

An almost majestic sight as wondrous as the beauty of the White Wolf.

So serene and majestic.

Dream once more we re-ignite ;

The warmth seeps through to our weary bones;

As the fire catches each golden glow

determined to dislodge

the torrid obstacles in life's sweet tender love song.

A quick glimpse to entice us further

onwards and upwards

to our very own dream....................

A rainbow's magic sprinkles down

on each one who is living their dream.

A magic as warm as paradise and as inspiring

as all life's gems.

Rainbows and Hearts.

Each rainbow blossoms

Each day in magical hue

Our hearts in bloom.

Thank you so much shiningirisheyes I am so glad you liked this one and I can just picture you if walking proudly to the lands of your ancestors. I would be over the moon if someone came to telling me I had Native American blood in me but of course that isn't going to happen. However I am proud of the kindred spirit I have formed reading about these wonderful people. Then of course my friend I have come to know so many others who do have Native blood in them;like yourself!!Before very long my second ebook on Sunshine Ray shouldn't be too long before its out there.

Have a wonderful day my friend

A soul stirring rendition written from one of my favorite hubbers as an ode to another of my favorite hubbers - Shauna.

I carry Native American blood and always sit a bit straighter when observing the heritage all around me in the early morning mist. Sometimes I can almost see the smoke rising from the village while the faint sounds of drums ring in my ears. I am proud to walk my ancestors land.

Great write and wonderful nod to Shauna as well.

This is one of your very best. I have Indian lineage, my father was part Indian, his mother was half Indian. I am not sure but i think maybe Cherokee. I love to read about their culture. The rainbow is so beautiful and your poetry depicts that and so much more. Thank you Eddy..

You know Eddy, Native Americans enjoyed exploring nature and the spirit within each blade of grass or cloud in the sky or buffalo wandering the plains. I think that you share those same innate qualities. I love nature, as you know. So we are definitely kindred spirits.

I am always in awe when I see a rainbow. The day my grandmother died, there was a rainbow over the hospital. The sky toward which I was walking was sunny, while the sky behind me with the rainbow was dark, dark grey. My grandma was in that rainbow being carried up to heaven! I will never forget the beauty of that sight. Thanks for helping me remember an awful, but preciously beautiful, day. Voted Up, Beautiful and Awesome. Pearl

      Hello, Eddy! Lovely hub!

Earlier today I happened to be talking to a friend about the Cherokees. It came up because the fellow who retiled our bathroom some while ago was a full-blooded Cherokee and his company is called "Cherokee Tile". My friend mentioned that he has s modicum of Cherokee blood and is thinking of calling his massage therapy Cherokee Massage Therapy. It's an attractive name.

All the native American tribes are interesting; but somehow the Cherokee is the most beloved. It's interesting that you've a sense of their character, being so far away. The native Americans all shared the love of nature and communion with it.

One of the most amazing experiences is to visit the Grand Canyon in Arizona and let the native music sort of permeate one's consciousness. It seems to waft all down and through that gigantic natural wonder. When we visited, we obtained several CDs of their gorgeous music to enjoy at home.

Arizona has many places where early native Americans lived. Oak Creek Canyon is one of them. Their 'high rise' homes carved out of the side of a gigantic red canyon cliff face is truly amazing.

Beutifully done! A rainbow always holds such inspiration and hope for me when I see one. It has been a long time since I've been blessed to catch one but your tribute brought that blessing to me today just when needed. Thank you!

You are so welcome bravewarrior and it's my pleasure.I don't know where my need to research Native Americans came from;out of the blue one early morning ;but I am not going to question it.It is obvious I was meant to do so and today it all fits nicely together.I also share your faith that I consider them God and Mother Nature conjoining to smile down on the world. Here's to a long time to come of friendship and hub sharing.
