Come Sit By Me A While:Goodbye 2012.H.O.W.
Good morning; well I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas ;actually my Christmases don't end until January 2nd so there's a little while to go again.
I bet there are going to be many New Years resolutions around ;some to break and some to keep as always.
As we are in the last few days of 2012 in contemplation I am going into this brand New Year learning from past mistakes ; of which there are many like most of us have !
My resolutions are to promote my published ebooks ,which I have hardly done at all and of course to publish many more !!!
I have also bought a writing magazine in which there are great tips and competitions.
In 2009 I took up a writing course with 'The Writing Bureau' and have only sent in two assignments.
There is no time limit on the course so it's getting down to carrying on with that too.
My heart tells me that now is the time to be undertaking these tasks!! I shall rephrase that because to me a task is something we don't enjoy; but to me writing is a 'calling' and all these bits and bobs that go with it are very important parts of this 'calling'.
I also travel into this New Year feeling so happy and rich in knowing that I am so privileged to have my wonderful family who are all around me. I also have you all my 'hubfamily' who I treasure greatly.
I have my own quote which came to me one day over the past couple of years and now this quote consists of three words which are today still more important to me than ever before..
They are:-
Expectance,acceptance and appreciation.
These three words have helped me through many a hard day.
At times we must expect those bleak days ;we accept them as part of our lives and also throughout each hard day we should always appreciate the good things around us.
Right my wonderful hubfamily it is time for the Christmas nibbles and for us to sit in my haven and by Erin and Val's Christmas garden.
Here are your teas, coffees or mulled wine for those of you who prefer a Christmas tipple I shall be boring and have my usual cuppa.I will follow with this tray and please I really don't mind if you demolish the lot ;as always I have made far to much food.!!Oh don't we all ;ha ha!!
Right are we all seated comfy ???Let's begin and I hope you enjoy the following poems:-
Oh yes
Goodbye this year
So many lessons learnt
Also a good few knocks taken
But we've expected,accepted and won
We stand strong, united and tall
Facing the brand New Year
New days, fresh starts
Oh yes.
Oh how so brightly
Today my world I so love
Each heart rejoicing.
Faith and hope
Await each eager heart
I accept each rejoicing promise
There awaits a world so true
Have the courage and the strength
x
All my hopes I share with thee
Never to lose
Dreams to live and breathe
x
How I have learnt
Oh how I now know
Promises to cherish, to keep
Each and every heart to trust and believe.
Look back with honesty
Look back with a strong heart
Look back with such love
Look back to the start............................................
x
Each moment will brighten
Each new path will glow
Each heartbeat will promise
Each sincere love will flow..............................
x
This New Year will blossom
This New Year will glow.
This New Year yours to enjoy
This New Year each true heart will show.................
As one year ends
another begins
in contemplation I honestly
share
my hope
and
my faith.
An end of an era
a new one to begin
promise to learn from yesteryear's
errors.
Learn
walk onwards
walk upwards.
admit your shortcomings
admit those faults
no excuses
no shielding!!!
As one door closes
another opens.
I await in sweet trepidation
What will this new year hold ?
What will come my way?
Will there be bleak days?
Will there be pain?
Expect some bleak days
Accept and overcome
before moving on
into that
stronger and brighter
tomorrow.
Without bleakness
the brightness
of each sunny day
would not be
fully appreciated.
Appreciate your blessings
allow your heart to hope;
find your faith
and hold this strong.
Let us walk united into this
New Year
with hearts
full of
strength ;hope and faith!!
Enjoy these final days of 2012 and I look forward to us all moving united into 2013.
Thank you so much for all throughout 2012;your kindness and support I shall appreciate forevermore.
Lots of love and hugs from my little corner of Wales to you all, my hubfamily.
Eddy.
