Love Strikes...A NiaG Poem

Updated on March 2, 2012

The heat upon your neck

You can hardly stand

The journeys getting closer

Was this part of your plan

Love has called your name

Will you answer its call

Beckoning your gaze

Clouding your mind, the gall

Rest your whirling head

Don't fight it let it come

It feels meant to be

Succumb to it, let it roam

But no you can't

You promised yourself

Last time would be the last

In this you shouldn't delve

Oh but dear it's much too late

It's snuck in like before

Let it rush in like a tidal wave

Open your heart's door

Thanks Mary. I had to do so many takes of this one for some reason. I get giggly sometimes. Ha! I just started doing it and was a little nervous at first. You should do it. A southern drawl would add to the charm. Hey, I've got a KY and TX (originally from) mix going so if I can do it you can to. Ha! Thanks for dropping by. :-)

This was lovely NiaG. I admire you for doing the video. I'm just not that brave! Your voice was really nice and it really added to the poem. I have to work on the video; don't know how my Southern drawl would sound (I have an idea). Great job. I voted you UP, etc.
