Word Which Left Unsaid - Original Love Poem

Updated on March 23, 2012

"If you love someone tell them, because hearts are often broken by words left unspoken."

There are many things in our lives which often pass as unspoken; many words which left unsaid. Later we regret on the decision of holding up. Live life to the fullest, speak your heart out, so you will not have to regret it later. You will be contend as you did precisely what you wanted to at sometime.

POEM:

Did I ever tell you?

How much you meant for me?

You were alive in my scent

And in every breath of me.

When you used to walk besides me

I felt I was intact and completed

But now when you are not with me

I am squandered and depleted.

Dissipated in your memories

Deprived of your love

Consumed by moments

You have always been above

Undermined, crippled and wrecked

But I still remember your face.

Those gloomy eyes when you said good-bye

And I foolishly challenged time to race.

Now I miss you, and everything about you

I regret those words which left unsaid

I should have told you, when you were here

Though I am announcing it and sure I am late

Proclaiming now won’t change my fate

And you are very far and distant

Up in the clouds, dwelling in heaven

But can you still hear the words which left unsaid

That I never ever confessed?

That how much you mean for me

And you are still alive in my scent,

And in every breath of me.

      Hunbbel Meer,

This is what is human life. When people are with us we take them for granted. It is when they go away we yearn for them. Say what you can for it may be too late. Voted up!

      Lots of Love,

@SheliaKay: Better late than never :) Thanks for stopping by. And agreed with your point, that everyone has some regrets. Although, the important thing should be that one expresses his love feelings to all the beloved ones, so he wouldn't have to regret it later :)

Lovely poem Hunbbel. I really enjoyed reading it until the end. Indeed we should say what we need to say before it's too late. Sometimes your freedom and your blessing are in what you say. Great Hub.

@Sueswan: I could not have said it better than you. Actions speak louder than words. It is 101% true, and when actions start to speak otherwise, trust begins to crumble. So, it is one of the most important things that we show our love with our actions and care for the person.

I'm glad that you liked my poem. Thanks for stopping by :)

      Heart wrenchingly beautiful.

Not only is it important to tell someone that we love them before it is too late but to show them as well. Actions speak louder than words.
